Model African Union Summit
An initiative of Model Conferences Ghana.
Hosted by Model Conferences Ghana LBG, the 5th edition of the Model African Union Summit is set to take place from Wednesday 11th to Saturday 14th December 2024 at the University of Ghana, Legon. Under the theme, “Educate an African Fit for the 21st Century: Building Resilient Education Systems for Increased Access to Inclusive, Lifelong, Quality and Relevant Learning in Africa,” this summit convenes young African leaders to reimagine and advocate for a future-ready education system across the continent.
This four-day summit provides a dynamic platform where youth delegates simulate the African Union, embodying the roles of diplomats, policymakers, and leaders to address critical issues affecting Africa’s educational landscape. Through debates, policy discussions, and skill-building workshops, participants will explore how to build resilient, inclusive educational systems that equip African youth with the skills and knowledge needed in the 21st century.
In an era where adaptability, digital literacy, and inclusive education are essential, the summit’s theme underscores the importance of developing educational frameworks that are accessible, lifelong, and relevant to Africa’s growth. By focusing on inclusive and high-quality education, the summit calls on African youth to champion diplomacy and collaboration as tools for building a cohesive, educated, and future-ready continent.
The 5th Model African Union Summit is not only a call to action for transforming education but also an opportunity for young Africans to connect, share ideas, and develop critical skills in leadership, communication, and diplomacy. Through participation, delegates gain a profound understanding of policymaking and a strengthened commitment to shaping an Africa that prioritizes inclusive, lifelong learning as the foundation for sustainable development.
